Most of the patterns I have made have a reason for making them. This angel was born because I needed more Christmas tree decorations to sell. The year was 1990 and I was living in Belfast. I attended many craft fairs and needed a quick but popular item. After trying out many different ways of crocheting an angel shape I decided on this one.
Two years ago I made a video of how to make it. It is one of the most popular of my Christmas craft videos.
The angel is made in 3 parts, starting from the head. On the video I show also how to starch it using sugar. You could also harden it using white glue and water. For that use 60% glue and 40% warm water.
